(All Day) 24MaiAll Day31« it’s my pleasure » - 3-day workshop about pleasure and self-censorship at CFB

Détails / Einzelheiten

it’s my pleasure is a 3-day workshop about pleasure and self-censorship. Blending theory and practice, we explore the political dimensions of pleasure — and the internalized, cultural, and societal norms that constrain it, distort it, or make it difficult to access at all.

it’s my pleasure is a facilitated space where we work with somatic movement practices, feminist texts, and visual materials to open up personal and collective reflection — a space to generate knowledge together, starting from a place of soft awareness, embodiment, and fierce questioning.

The workshop will be held in English and is open to FLINTA participants.

Mela Seidenari, dancemaker and curator

Mela Seidenari is a dancer, feminist, and social researcher based between Berlin and Italy. Her interdisciplinary practice moves between somatic movement, critical theory, and participatory formats. She explores themes such as pleasure, censorship, embodiment, and the politics of desire—bringing together physical inquiry and feminist thought.

Mela has led workshops and artistic labs across Italy, often creating collaborative spaces where bodies, stories, and political questions meet. She has carried out field research in India and Ethiopia on issues related to gender, sexuality, and social justice. Her current project, it’s my pleasure, is both a performance and a workshop series centered on reclaiming female sexuality and eros through collective exploration.
